SPREADSHEET TO WEB APP DEVELOPMENT

Your spreadsheet proved the process.
Now give the team a system.

The spreadsheet started as a useful solution. Now several people edit it, formulas carry business rules, and each update needs a message. We help turn that working knowledge into a shared application.

WHAT WE BUILD

Spreadsheet to Web App Development for Business Workflows

Converting a spreadsheet to a web app means defining the records, rules, screens, and user actions behind the file. A useful migration also identifies which historical data to move and how the team will switch without losing track of work in progress.

FROM WORKFLOW TO WORKING SOFTWARE

What the engagement covers.

01

Understand the workbook

Map sheets, formulas, macros, manual corrections, and files that supply data. Identify who uses each part and what decisions it supports.

02

Define a focused application

Agree the record model, access roles, validations, and essential screens. Separate the first useful release from later improvements.

03

Rehearse the data move

Clean and map a representative sample, compare counts and key values, and decide which history needs to remain available.

04

Plan the switch

Agree the cutover window, treatment of new edits, user training, and stop or rollback criteria before changing the live workflow.

Deliverables, price, timing, and acceptance criteria are defined in the proposal and agreement. See our discovery and delivery process →

CHOOSE THE RIGHT APPROACH

When a custom build makes sense.

Keep a spreadsheet when a small team can use it reliably and the work remains simple. A configured tool may be enough when its process fits. Consider a custom application when shared access, auditability, business rules, and integrations create recurring operational problems.

A USEFUL FIRST CONVERSATION

Bring a process. Start there.

Bring a redacted workbook or describe its main sheets, the number of people using it, and the updates that cause confusion. We do not need your customer records to have the first fit conversation.

We focus on new software and connected workflows for established businesses. Taking over another team's code and pre-revenue ventures are outside our current offering.

BEFORE YOU DECIDE

Practical questions.

Can you convert every formula automatically?

We assess the formulas and the business decisions they encode. Some can become application rules; others need clarification or redesign. We do not promise a one-click conversion.

Will we lose historical data?

The migration scope defines what to retain, move, or archive. A trial import and agreed validation checks come before the live switch. Data quality and source access affect what can be migrated.

Is custom software always the right replacement?

No. Improving the workbook, adding a small automation, or configuring an existing tool may solve the problem. We assess those options before recommending a custom build.

How much does the project cost?

There is no fixed package price. After the fit conversation, paid discovery defines a useful scope. Build pricing and milestones are agreed in the proposal; ongoing support can be arranged under a separate retainer.

LET'S LOOK AT YOUR WORKFLOW

What is your team still doing by hand?

Show us where the work gets stuck. We will assess whether a focused first project is a useful next step.
